Last week, four CTEC students had the incredible opportunity to represent our school and community at the National SkillsUSA Conference and Competition in Atlanta, Georgia. While there, they explored career opportunities with industry vendors, connected with prospective employers, and experienced all that Atlanta had to offer.
Representing CTEC were: Van Chin, Missouri SkillsUSA State Officer, Thomas Gundel who competed in Mobile Electronics Installation, Helen Mawi who competed in Basic Health Care Skills, and Scarlett Estrada who competed in Medical Terminology.
But this trip was about much more than travelโit was the culmination of months of hard work, dedication, and preparation. We are especially proud of Helen Mawi from Health Science II, who earned a Bronze Medal in Basic Health Care Skills, outperforming competitors from across the nation.
To the parents and guardians who support and encourage their students as they pursue these opportunities, thank you. Experiences like SkillsUSA help students build confidence, expand their professional networks, and discover the possibilities that await them after high school.
