Did your incoming junior miss the CTEC Orientation held in April? Thereโ€™s still time to get ready for the upcoming school year!

CTEC will host several Make-Up Orientation sessions this summer for students and parents/guardians to complete enrollment paperwork, receive important information, and prepare for classes beginning in August. Students should plan to attend one of these orientation dates to ensure they are ready for a successful start at CTEC this fall.

Have an incoming junior who did not apply to CTEC yet? Some programs still have limited openings available for Fall 2026! Families interested in learning more about hands-on career training, dual credit opportunities, industry certifications, and real-world experiences are encouraged to attend a make-up orientation as well.

CTEC programs help students build skills for high-demand careers in healthcare, skilled trades, transportation, technology, public safety, education, and more โ€” all while still in high school.

We look forward to welcoming our newest class of CTEC students this fall!

CTEC Building Trades students spent the morning putting the finishing touches on the back patio of the Habitat for Humanity home they have worked on throughout this school year. Through this incredible hands-on project, students have developed valuable skills in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, roofing, and teamwork while learning under the guidance of their instructor and industry professionals.

These dedicated young men and women will return this fall for their second year in the Building Trades program, where they will begin construction on another Habitat for Humanity home. This partnership not only provides students with real-world experience that cannot be replicated in a traditional shop setting, but it also helps provide a safe and welcoming home for a local family.

We are proud of the hard work, craftsmanship, and professionalism these students continue to demonstrate as they prepare for successful careers in the skilled trades.

Congratulations to Flor Maldonado of Neosho High School and the CTEC Computer Technology Program for being selected as the April Student of the Month.

At CTEC, our Student of the Month recognizes students who demonstrate the powerful traits of adaptability and resilience. These students understand that challenges are a part of growth, and they continue to move forward with determination, a positive attitude, and the willingness to learn from every obstacle.
Whether in the skilled trades, healthcare, teacher education, or criminal justice programs, they show what it means to stay focused, problem-solve under pressure, and adjust when plans change. These are the same qualities employers and colleges value in future leaders and professionals.

We are proud to celebrate students who prove that success is not about avoiding challengesโ€”it is about rising to meet them. Congratulations to our Student of the Month honorees!
