Proud of our alumnus, Chase Howard! Always doing big things. We also appreciate Chase’s continued involvement, including being an active donor!

Chase Howard (BA in Political Science ’20, IU Southeast; JD ’23, IU Indianapolis McKinney School of Law) exemplifies leadership, service, and professional achievement.

During his time at IU Southeast, Chase served as president of Tau Kappa Epsilon and Vice President of the Student Government Association. He participated in the honors program and contributed to IU’s bicentennial planning efforts for IU Southeast events. He credits the university’s small class sizes and the mentorship of his political science professors for preparing him to pursue a legal career.

After earning his JD in 2023, Chase clerked in Marion County’s Commercial Courts and now serves as a litigation associate at Barnes & Thornburg LLP.

Notably, IU Southeast is a family tradition — Chase, along with his parents and brother, are all alumni.

Last night, our brother Sean O’Brien was called home to Chapter Eternal due to a medical issue. Sean initiated in the 2007-2008 academic year. Sean was vibrant and always willing to lend a helping hand. He exemplified the brotherhood. Sean’s passion for wrestling led him to be a highly respected referee for many underground wrestling organizations. He was highly sought after and traveled around the region doing what he loved. Sean leaves behind a young daughter. Please keep his family, friends, and fraters in your prayers.

At 1:55 this morning our frater, Sean Jeremiah, was called home. Sean initiated into the fraternity during the 2008-2009 academic year and had Richard Ferree as his big brother. Sean was known for his athletics and social presence. Always one to wear a smile, Sean will be missed by our fraters along with his family and loved ones. Most recently, Sean resided in Salem, IN while working as a manager at Jay C Food Store and as the middle school football coach for the Salem Lions.
