Congratulations to the newest graduates of our Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program!
Last night, we celebrated the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of these students as they completed the rigorous training required to prepare for careers in law enforcement across North Carolina.
We are proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to the positive impact they will make as they begin their careers in public service!

A special thank you to the New Bern Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution and the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter, NSDAR for recognizing welding Instructor Josh Newman and student Tyler Morcom for their work on a recent community project.

They were honored with certificates of appreciation and challenge coins for their craftsmanship in fabricating two aluminum floor flag holders. We appreciate your support of our students, faculty, and the Volt Center!

A week ago, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of our new Corporate Training Center—a space designed to bring together workforce training, professional development, and community partnerships under one roof.

As the first new building on our New Bern campus since 2009, this facility represents our continued commitment to serving students, employers, and the communities of Eastern North Carolina.

Here's a look back at an exciting day and an even brighter future ahead.

The Southpaws vs. OBX Swinging Mullets game, scheduled for tonight at Kafer Park at 7 p.m., has been canceled due to rain and standing water.

The game, originally sponsored by Craven Community College, will be rescheduled for a later date.

Sigh. We’ll keep everyone posted on Thursday🌧️

Future builders, makers, and innovators were hard at work during our Building Giants summer camp at the Havelock campus!

Throughout last week, campers explored careers in maritime and advanced manufacturing through hands-on activities including welding, machining, laser technology, 3D printing, blueprint reading, and even building and testing their own model submarines.

Thank you to SparkForce, The FMA Foundation for sponsoring this incredible opportunity and helping inspire the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
