BREAKING NEWS: Just as we set off to Florence, Italy - to begin our next reporting project, we received news that we won ( another) award for our last study abroad project in Brazil.

We won a "Telly Award"

what is a Telly? The Telly Awards are a premier global awards program honoring excellence in video and television across all screens.

This is an incredible achievement! They received over 13,000 exceptional entries this year, and the winners represent the most innovative stories being told across all screens. They said in the award letter ... "As a Telly Winner, you are truly a standard bearer of excellence in our industry. "

I work with some talented students. I am very proud!

That’s a wrap on another great semester.

This small crew embarked on a mission — to tell stories while helping us launch a brand-new set and Ross Video system.

Throughout the semester, we patiently explored the software and developed standard operating procedures. With the help and guidance of the Central Media Center staff, we were able to position the newly branded Central News for a stronger presenCCSU Journalismprofessional workflow, and an improved overall production.

We look forward to new projects and stories in the next academic year.

Our newscast class has been hard at work this semester, not only learning a huge new upgrade to our graphics and switching system, but also producing great content.

The Blue Devils have been busy this spring and they have a heck of a weekend lineup. Check out reporter Kyle Zarnoch's sports report and anchor Lorenzo Gagliotta.
