Charter Oak State College Charter Oak State College ( https://www.charteroak.edu ) is CT's public online college.

Charter Oak was established as a distance learning college in 1973 to assist adults in completing their college degrees. Today, Charter Oak State College is Connecticut's public online college offering master's, bachelor's and associate degree programs in a number of high-demand fields including Business, Health Care, Public Safety, Information Systems and more. Our students complete degrees through the use of our online courses and by combining other sources of credit.

We're proud to announce that Stacey Walraven, MHA, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, CPC, COC, CHTS-TR, Program Director, Healthcare Administration in the Department of Health Science & Technology, has been selected as a 2026 Fellow in the Business-Higher Education Forum (BHEF) Faculty Innovation Fellowship, a competitive national program bringing together faculty leaders from across the country to drive meaningful change in higher education.

During the experience, Stacey will join a cohort of 22 fellows from a diverse range of institutions across 15 states to develop a capstone project focused on integrating AI skills into the undergraduate curriculum.
