Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Rutgers

Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Rutgers Sigma Alpha Epsilon, New Jersey Rho Chapter Thinking about rushing a fraternity this semester? Being a member of ΣAE nationally is even more significant.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon (ΣAE) at Rutgers offers you a great opportunity to become involved in Greek life. Founded at the University of Alabama on March 9, 1856, Sigma Alpha Epsilon is one of the oldest Fraternities in North America. Since its creation, the fraternity has exploded in size, with over 325,000 initiated brothers. Currently, there are 15,000 active collegiate members at 235 different schoo

ls across the nation, with a rich alumni base of 200,000 men. Newly formed and quickly growing, Sigma Alpha Epsilon at RU is an exciting fraternity to be a member of. All members have the ability to play an important role in determining what our chapter will become--and we have our sights set high. The opportunity to shape and influence an organization like ΣAE in its early stages cannot be found in many other chapters at Rutgers. Joining the ranks of ΣAE here at Rutgers gives one the chance to bond with new men and make valuable connections while being able to give back to the community. Although the social aspect makes college life a lot more enjoyable, we strive to show Rutgers University students as well as the world that there is much more to Greek life than being sociable. Sigma Alpha Epsilon is one of the largest fraternities in the nation with brothers who have held illustrious careers as Fortune 500 CEOs, professional athletes, and members of the United States Congress.

Last weekend, our brother Alex Formato had the honor of visiting our national headquarters for the Devotie Ritual Institute. He, along with Brothers from across the country went to Evanston, Illinois to learn about the history, ritual, and traditions of our fraternity.
In addition, he met national executive board members, saw decades worth of ΣΑΕ memorabilia, and got to see the greater Chicago area.
We can't wait for him to pass on everything he has learned to us!
ΦΑ Alex!

This weeks goes to our brother Will Pendexter. Will was our Paddy Murphy chair last spring, and serves this semester as our social chair. As Paddy Murphy chair, he organized fun philanthropy events that raised almost $1000 for CMNH and other various charities. These events ranged from simple tabling events, like launching water balloons at brothers for a dollar, to booking the entire college avenue gym for a Zumbathon.
As social chair, he organized an awesome semi formal date night for the chapter at Perle Night Club last weekend.

Thanks for all your hard work Will, we look forward to what you'll bring to the chapter in the coming years!
