The Public Relations Student Society of America is the most well-respected, student run public relations society in the country. Currently there are more than 8,000 members and over 248 chapters throughout the U.S. In 1985, Todd Hunt, SCILS professor emeritus, founded the Rutgers University chapter of PRSSA. Currently there are more than 150 active members and over 350 subscribed to the listserv.
The goal of RU PRSSA is to give students the opportunity to enrich their skills in the field of public relations, and to give members an edge within the very competitive market. Individuals have the chance to work on real accounts, meet prominent PR professionals, and network with PRSSA members within RU and throughout the county.
