Congratulations to Dr. Ian Levy, Assistant Professor of School Counseling, on his appointment as Associate Editor of flagship journal of the school counseling profession Professional School Counseling.

A former high school counselor, school counselor educator, and emcee, Dr. Levy's research explores Hip Hop-based interventions and culturally responsive practices that support youth development and student well-being.

In this new role, he will help guide the review and publication of research that advances the school counseling profession.

Congratulations to GSE Ph.D. student Ashley Lipscomb on being selected for the inaugural cohort of the Rutgers Democracy Lab's Summer Research Fellowship!

Ashley is one of 25 doctoral scholars chosen across Rutgers to receive this fellowship. Her dissertation project, "Learning In the Spirit: Reading 19th Century Abolitionist Theology as an Education Philosophy," drives forward the Democracy Lab’s mission by uncovering vital new perspectives on education and democracy.
