Journalism Honors for Students and Website
Senior Tevin McKenzie and MFA in Film student Jared Hoffman are winners in the College Media Association's 2025 Pinnacle Awards. Competing nationally in the large-colleges division, McKenzie, an Advertising/Public Relations major and Journalism minor, received first place for a feature on the noisiest neighborhood in New York City. Similarly, Hoffman received second place for a podcast exploring the origin story of a controversial AI-assisted video sparked by President Donald J. Trump's February remarks about redeveloping Gaza under U.S. control. Harlem View, the multimedia publication of CCNY's Journalism Program, within the Division of Humanities and the Arts, received an honorable mention for Media Website of the Year.
