Delta Phi Epsilon Delta Phi Epsilon is a national sorority founded in March of 1917.

The Alpha Pi Chapter of Southern Connecticut State University was founded in February of 1990.

We have another WhyDPhiE Wednesday from our gorgeous ! 🫶💜

“I transferred to Southern in my second semester of freshman year. I was so nervous on the first day of classes that I thought everyone had already made all their friends and that it would be hard for me to fit in at that point. I decided that day to check out a DPhiE information session. Going to the session completely made my day. The girls were so sweet. Some even got up and hugged me. One being the girl who turned out to be my big. I then decided to rush and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. DPhiE has changed my life in ways I am so grateful for. I’ve been given opportunities to gain leadership positions and learned that my thoughts and opinions matter. On top of that the girls have made me feel so loved every step of the way. Some of my favorite moments have been meeting my big and gaining my little. My sorority family has become some of my closest friends and I am so grateful for each and everyone of them. This sisterhood had given me so much and I would recommend anyone interested to definitely rush DPhiE!”

Happy to share another Why DPhiE Wednesday with our lovely !

“I’d just moved to the area the year before and hadn’t really made friends but I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself that gave me purpose and helped me make meaningful connections. I never thought I’d join a sorority or fit in but I’m so glad I decided to rush in Spring 2025. Part of what drew me in is the diversity I saw within DPhiE and how welcomed I felt. Since joining I’ve learned to how to be a better leader and have gotten to know genuinely inspirational, kind, and passionate young women that I’m lucky to call my sisters for life. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! 🥹💜💛🦄”
