Yale School of Art

Yale School of Art The school currently offers graduate degrees and undergraduate majors in the areas of graphic design, painting/printmaking, photography, and sculpture.

Yale School of Art provides students with intellectually informed, hands-on instruction in the practice of an array of visual arts media within the context of a liberal arts university. As a part of the first institution of higher learning to successfully integrate a studio-based education into such a broad pedagogical framework, the Yale School of Art has a long and distinguished history of train

ing artists of the highest caliber. A full-time faculty of working artists in conjunction with a diverse cross-section of accomplished visiting artists collaborate to design a program and foster an environment where the unique talents and perspectives of individual students can emerge and flourish.

Congratulations to the artists and organizers of the “To-gather,” a student-organized exhibition of works by
Yale School of Art MFAs across all four areas of graduate study at 32 Edgewood Gallery. Join us tomorrow for a public reception!

Friday, February 20
6-8PM
32 Edgewood Ave., New Haven

A collective identity rooted in community and conversation, “To-Gather” invites closeness and shared understanding while confronting misrepresentation and cultural misreadings. The exhibition approaches collective identity not as a fixed definition, but as an evolving space where differences coexist and resonate. Within the American landscape, Asian and Asian diaspora voices are often subject to misreading, misunderstanding, and misrepresentation; here, the artists reclaim the terms of visibility by assembling their individual practices into a larger chorus, one that resists erasure, stereotype, and simplification.

Participating artists include Alec Dai, Amy Fang, Amy Wang, Camille Gwise, David Jung, Grace Han, Hasti Kasraei, Heejae Kim, Hongting Zhu, Izza Alyssa, Jocelyn Tsui, Le Liu, Manni Su, Mi Chen, Mingge Zhong, Ningxin Yao, Philip Falino, Priscilla Young, Rebecca Cheng, Shagnik Chakraborty, Shellie Zhang, Sok Song, Su Ji Kim, Wenqing Zhai, Xiangyun Chen, Xin Tan, Xing Zhang, Yinan Lin, Young Cho, and Yuwei Tu.

Organized by Hongting Zhu (), Graphic Design MFA ‘26, Rebecca Cheng (), Graphic Design MFA ‘26, and Xiangyun Chen (), Photography MFA ‘26.

Spring 2026 exhibition receptions are open to the public. During regular gallery hours, the gallery space is open only to members of the Yale community (current ID holders) and invited, accompanied guests. “A Grand Union” is open to the Yale community February 20–March 2, 2026. Exhibition documentation will be available to the public in the coming weeks! Open hours posted at art.yale.edu/exhibitions
