Our center examines how dogs perceive their environment, solve problems, and make decisions. Our findings teach us how the dog mind works, which can help us to better develop programs to improve how we train and work with our canine friends. If you are a dog owner in the New Haven area, we would love to have your dog as one of our canine volunteers. All of our studies involve simple problem solvin

g games that we play with your dogs. Our dog volunteers receive a diploma for their participation and get to enjoy a fun new game as part of our studies. Join us today and help us better understand just how smart man’s best friend really is!

Since re-opening, we've had a chance to celebrate the achievements of several of our returning dogs 🎓 ✨ Congrats to Gus and Veloce on advancing to their junior years (after a very long gap year) and to Hannah for receiving her first publication in Canine Nature! 🐶
