Crescent Players: SCSU The Crescent Players is a student-run production organization which co-presents shows with the Theatre Department.

The Crescent Players is a student-run production organization which co-presents shows with the Theatre Department, as well as producing its own events and workshops at the Lyman Center and elsewhere on campus. We are the longest running club/organization on campus and will be going into our 60th year!

SCSU is accepting original 10-minute play submissions exploring one central question: What does freedom mean, and who gets to experience it?

Submissions are due September 18, 2026, and the festival is on Friday, October 2, at 6 PM in the Kendall Drama Lab.

You must submit an original 10-minute play, feature 1–5 characters, have a concise beginning, middle, and end, include an impossible choice, and include a moment where someone or something sings or plays a song.

2–3 plays will be selected for presentation, and you can submit your play to [email protected].
