The Yale Grateful Dead Listening Collective is an undergraduate organization whose premise rests on the virtues of musical improvisation, community, intellectual growth and diversity championed by the Grateful Dead. The organization's primary activity will be to host listening sessions of albums and recorded live performances of the Grateful Dead and associated acts on a periodical basis. In addit

ion to listening, the group will engage in a literary and critical analysis of the lyrics drawing on (but not limited to) Lacanian, Deconstructivist, Modernist, Post-Modernist, Hegelian and Kantian schools of thought.
