The Sister Circle is back — and sis, this one is for us. 🌸

We’re continuing the conversation on perimenopause & post-menopause, because too many of us have navigated these seasons in silence. Not anymore.

Join us for a free, intimate gathering led by Johanna D’Addario, PA — Staff Affiliate at Yale New Haven Health Smilow GynOnc and a Menopause Society Certified Provider — as she guides us through what our bodies are telling us and what we deserve to know.

Holding space as our moderator is our very own Duanecia Evans Clark, member of Theta Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® 💕💚✨

Come to ask the questions we were never taught to ask — and leave feeling informed, empowered, and less alone.

✨ FREE event. Limited seats.

Planting trees today to create healthier, cooler, and more resilient communities tomorrow.

Join the Theta Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ® for our annual tree planting program, held in partnership with the Delta Iota Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. ®. This year’s theme, Roots of Resilience, highlights how expanding tree canopy can improve air quality, reduce extreme heat, and support healthier communities across Greater New Haven.

In addition to planting trees, attendees will participate in a brief educational presentation on how tree equity, air quality, and green space impact public health outcomes in our communities.

Water, light refreshments, and gardening tools will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and, if available, personal gardening tools.

This event is open to the public, and we welcome community members of all ages to join us!

GUARD YOUR HEART, Sisters. 💗❤️

This February, Theta Epsilon Omega is going for National Healthy Heart Awareness Month because our hearts deserve the same fierce protection we give to our families and communities.

Here’s the truth we need to face: Cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of women, yet less than half of us know this. And for Black women, the stakes are even higher—we face disproportionate rates of high blood pressure, stroke, and heart disease, often at younger ages.

But here’s the power we hold: Nearly 80% of heart disease is PREVENTABLE.

This month, we’re calling on every woman—especially our sisters—to:
✨ Know your numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar)
✨ Move your body with intention
✨ Fuel yourself with nourishing foods
✨ Manage stress (because we carry so much)
✨ Learn Hands-Only CPR (women are less likely to receive bystander CPR—we’re changing that!)

We’re also advocating for more Black women in cardiovascular research, because we’ve been underrepresented for far too long. Our health data matters. Our lives matter.

Awareness saves lives. Education empowers action. And action creates the change we need.

Tag a sister who needs to hear this. Share your health journey. Let’s normalize prioritizing our hearts the way we prioritize everything and everyone else.

Because we can’t pour from an empty cup—or a broken heart.

Happy Birthday to our beloved Regional Director and Theta Epsilon Omega’s 16th President — Elicia Pegues Spearman, Esq. 🎂💕💚

Your dedication to service, sisterhood, and developing all of us inspires our greatness every day. The Notable North Atlantic Region loves and celebrates you!

Soaring to Greater Heights, F.I.R.S.T. ✨
