There are Room Draw Info Sessions that will explain the new online room draw process again tonight in Clements Hall in Ivey at 5:00pm, 6:00pm, 7:00pm, and 8:00pm! Everyone who is planning to participate in room draw is strongly encouraged to attend one.

Important Room Draw Info:

Room Draw to select housing for Fall 2012 will be an online process. Eligible students were asked to complete a housing questionnaire to indicate your housing plans for next year as the first step. Confirmation messages will be sent to all students who completed a questionnaire shortly. In order to provide students with important information about the next steps in this new process, we will be holding several information sessions at various times this week. Students who plan to participate in Room Draw are strongly encouraged to attend one of these sessions.

A few reminders for enjoying the nice weather!
• Residence hall furniture needs to stay inside

• It’s important to be respectful of New London neighbors as the nights get warmer. Sound travels well, and NLPD tells us they use 11:00 p.m. as the standard for when things should be quiet for town residents.

• Remember that if you’re outside and have music on during the day (especially in Burpee or on the quad) it may be disruptive to classes.

• Remember that outdoor gatherings must be alcohol-free, and that alcohol is not permitted even in travel mugs or for students who are over 21.

• Screens need to stay in windows and people need to stay off roofs.

• Facilities will be spreading mulch soon. The mulch is extremely flammable. Please be careful if you’re smoking outside

If you are interested in applying for a Resident Assistant position for the 2012-2013 academic year, applications are due THIS FRIDAY, February 24. Please return your completed application to the Office of Residential Education, located on the 2nd floor of the Ware Campus Center. At that time, you must also sign up for an individual and a group interview.
