Connecticut College Slavic Studies is thrilled to announce that Russian investigative journalist, writer, political scientist, and dissident Yevgenia Albats will be giving a lecture on November 14th at 4:30pm in the Charles Chu Room.

One of the most prominent figures of the Russian media landscape, Yevgenia Albats has been at the forefront of investigative journalism in Russia for over three decades. Having gotten her start with independent Russian newspapers in the 1990s, her flagship radio show, "Full Albats," ran for nearly two decades on Echo of Moscow. Today, she is a dissident residing in the United States, leaving Russia in September 2022 as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Albats' lecture, "Putin's Wars and Their Outcomes," will be followed by a Q&A session and reception. We hope to see you there!

🕟 Time and place: November 14th, 2023 at 4:30pm in the Charles Chu Asian Art Reading Room at Shain Library
