Looks like Ignatius of Loyola, or as Loyola students know him, St. Iggy, is more than ready for Easter break. Even he’s getting into the holiday spirit with a few eggs and bunny ears.

Hang in there, Wolf Pack… break is almost here. 🐺🌸

It's & ! Meet a Loyola Trailblazer: Ann Bee Berrigan. During the late 1950s, Ann Bee Berrigan made history at Loyola University New Orleans as the only woman in the athletic department and the first to earn a varsity letter. With no women’s team, she competed on the men’s tennis team—breaking barriers across the South and paving the way for future generations in collegiate athletics.

Celebrating a trailblazer who helped change the game.

Friday the 13th… and a big game at Muny Park.

On this day in Loyola history, the Loyola Wolfpack faced off against the Southwestern Louisiana Institute Bulldogs under the lights at Muny Park.

Despite the “Friday the 13th jinx,” Loyola’s lineup featured strong contributors like Mickey Cherry at third base and Butsie Morlas at second, both counted on heavily by Coach Jack Orsley heading into the matchup.

The Bulldogs entered the game leading the conference, making the Friday night showdown a major test for Loyola’s NCAA hopes.

Baseball, history, and a little superstition, just another night in Wolfpack athletics.
