Camp Chicota Youth Camp, owned and operated by the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge F&AM of Louisiana and Jurisdiction and Esther Grand Chapter OES PHA Louisiana Jurisdiction was alive with the laughter of children and the camaraderie of adults at the first joint Crescent City Chapter #195 and Crescent City Lodge #274 PHA retreat!!! 🌙

We combined service with fellowship- cleaning some of the grounds and enjoying the company of our Lodge and Chapter members, in addition to donating generously to Camp Chicota to assist with the upkeep. This visit was thrilling to our children! It was truly a treat to witness the remarkable commitment of the visionaries in our order who insisted on having a camp dedicated to servicing our most valuable asset- our children.

This has been a busy weekend for our Lodge and Chapter! Mental health awareness and wellness has long been a concern in our community. It’s important that people are properly trained when dealing with these issues. Accordingly , the sisters of Crescent City Chapter #195 and brothers of Crescent City Lodge #274 jointly became certified in Mental Health First Aid! We were also provided info on how to obtain Narcan kits if it becomes necessary to assist during an overdose.

Thanks to our instructor Maria Alexander with Metropolitan Human Services District for all the information provided in that 5 hours.

The Sisters and WP of CCC #195 had a great time today serving in Baton Rouge for the BR Tigers Kids Football Team Banquet! Coach Reggie has been a coach for over 30 years with various teams like the Tigers! He is also a member of Crescent City Lodge #274. Congratulations to all the awards recipients for a great year, and thank you for allowing CCC195 to serve!

🌙195 represented at 2023’s 15th Midwinter Conference - or as we affectionately call it “OES Academy!” Of course, we are always rocking those and our signature gold/yellow!!

WM Tanika Wells Johnson attended workshops and was awarded her Administrative Degree! There were also many opportunities to have fun and unwind! 💙💛🤍💚❤️
