Incorporating interest in both STEM and the arts!! 🧑🏼🚀🚀🦞🎨🖌️
🚀 Houston, we have a Crawfish!
Big news from the final frontier (and our own backyard)!
Through Tulane University’s K-12 STEM Outreach program, over 150 middle schoolers from across New Orleans competed to design the official ISS Mission 21 patch. Students from Holy Cross, Benjamin Franklin, St. Edward the Confessor, and John Curtis Christian Schools brought their A-game, blending science with local spirit.
After a tough judging round by Tulane students and faculty, we have a winner!
Congratulations to John Tran from Holy Cross School! Mentored by teacher Tara Lavender, John’s winning design features a "Space Ambassador" crawfish decked out in iconic Mardi Gras purple, green, and gold. Keep an eye out—New Orleans culture is officially heading to the International Space Station! 💜💚💛
