Amongst Ourselves: Resisting Slavery at Whitney Plantation opens this Saturday 3/21. Join us as we honor the lives of people who resisted slavery—not just by running, but by staying, surviving, remembering, and building.
Developed through a partnership between the Midlo Center and Whitney Plantation, and funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the exhibit brings together fugitive slave advertisements from Freedom on the Move at Cornell University, alongside oral histories, archival records, and research by UNO and Cornell students, as well as faculty.
Join us in honoring the lives and legacies of those who never stopped resisting.
