The day began with advising sessions for our pre medicine students and was followed by an amazing panel by their medical students.

The Tulane Medical students were truly inspiring and we are so thankful to have had this opportunity.

Everyone is welcomed!!!

Our annual Heath fair is this Thursday from 11 am to 3 pm in the UC Ballroom.

We will have free HIV screenings, a free Zumba class, free food, and plenty resources from many local health professional schools.

Officer Election Reminder:

We have the following positions available: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Historian and Secretary. If you are interested in any of the positions below please submit a brief email to [email protected] by March 15th stating what position you are interested in, explain why you are pursing a leadership position and your current involvement in AED or other on-campus activities. If your goal is to attend medical school I strongly urge you to pursue a leadership role. A vast majority of medical schools really like to see students who are not only involved, but are leaders in their schools and communities! Below you will find a brief description of the duties each position is responsible for.

President: Serves as a mentor for the other officers and is responsible for chapter functions such as election, initiation of new members, and development of activities.

Vice- President: The president's right hand and many times becomes candidate for president. Aids the president in organizing events, fundraisers, and speakers.

Secretary: Keeps record of members points/ attendance , takes the minutes at meetings and sends out the meeting re-cap emails.

Treasurer: Handles the chapter's financial business. Authorizes expenses, submits the yearly budget, and provides a yearly inform of finances.

Historian- Prepares a summary of chapter activities, such making the agenda and writing the semesterly article for the national AED magazine 'The Scalpel'
