Did you know it's now a felony to smoke or v**e ma*****na or any other controlled dangerous substances within 2,000 feet of a school, college, university or school bus? This includes Delgado Community College's five campuses across our state.
This new law went into effect on August 1st.

Congratulations to Mrs. Mae Chapman. 🎉🎉 She was just awarded the Navigator of the Year award by LaVetCorps at Delgado for 2025-2026. While at Delgado Community College, she effortlessly worked with student veterans and dependents of veterans who attended Delgado by providing resources needed for their educational journey. Also, she extended her volunteer services for Delgado’s Single One Stop and also throughout various food banks throughout the community of New Orleans.
Chapman received the honor “For leading the way, changing lives”.
