Our latest Behind The Ad episode talks about style, New Orleans culture, and heavy metals. We're talking about New Orleans' own luxury jewelry brand.

Mignon Faget has been a beacon of New Orleans culture for over 50 years, but staying timeless while evolving isn’t easy. How do you keep a legacy brand fresh while staying true to the roots?

Maghan Oroszi, Mignon Faget's CEO, shares that the key is to balance heritage with modern relevance. They don’t chase fleeting trends. Instead, they lean into their story and craft designs rooted in authenticity and craftsmanship.

They also strategically choose collaborations and media placements that tell their story to both local and global audiences, all while respecting their legacy.

This approach keeps the brand relevant without diluting its core identity, and that’s what builds loyalty over generations.

🎺 The Loyola Trumpet Ensemble represented New Orleans on a global stage this summer!

Directed by Dr. Nick Volz, the ensemble auditioned and was selected among worldwide submissions to perform at the 50th Annual International Trumpet Guild conference in Rochester, NY.

Performing in Kodak Hall alongside 7x Grammy winner Randy Brecker, the ensemble’s performance featured improvised solos and an original piece by grad student Erik Morales.

What an honor to perform at such a prestigious level! Congrats to ensemble members: Stuart Adams, Ethan Bailey, Ben Delgado, Andy Dufrene, Elva Gurule, and Anna Hills.

Just ask Loyola’s own Reid Martin ('09). As the manager of Big Freedia, he’s helped orchestrate Grammy-winning collaborations with Beyoncé, Drake, Lady Gaga, Lizzo, Diplo, Kesha, and more.
When he’s not managing icons or teaching Music Entrepreneurship at Loyola, Reid is busy helping shape the next generation of industry leaders, co-launching Wolf Moon Entertainment, our college's new student-run record label! 🐺🎶

Reid represents the absolute best of Loyola.

🩸 Shout out to the understudies of Theatre Arts and Dance's last production: Little Shop of Horrors!

In the theatre world, an understudy is a backup actor who memorizes and rehearses a character’s lines, so that they can fill in at a moment’s notice if the original actor becomes sick or injured.

At Loyola, understudies have their own special night to perform, and the Little Shop understudy crew knocked it out of the park.
