Learning & Brain Development Lab The LBDLab is a developmental psychology research lab at Tulane studying attention & learning. Click the Sign Up button above to learn more!

The Learning & Brain Development has several research projects that aim to understand how early attention skills help infants and children learn effectively. We test children from 2 months to 4 years of age and are currently especially focusing on 6- and 9-month olds.

Participate in our infant research study!

At the Learning and Brain Development Lab, we are looking for families with children under 1 year to participate in our infant research study exploring how infants pay attention to people and objects.

Participation involves a one-time visit at our lab in Uptown, New Orleans. Your baby will watch short videos while we measure their eye movements and play with toys while we monitor their heart rate. We will also ask you to complete a questionnaire to describe your child’s behavior and how you have been feeling in the past couple of weeks. You will receive a small gift and $30 gift card for your participation.
