On Sundays and Solemnities, the seminarians sing the ancient Marian hymn “Tota pulchra es” to conclude Solemn Vespers.

As a house custom, it is sung in alternatum between the Schola Cantorum and the rest of the Seminary.

During the Mass of the Holy Spirit, Archbishop Checchio reminded our seminarians of the importance of opening their hearts to the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to work through them.
As we begin a new year of formation, we pray that the Holy Spirit may fill the hearts of our seminarians, guiding them as they discern and prepare to serve the Church as faithful shepherds after the Heart of Christ.

The Notre Dame Seminary community joyfully welcomed the new academic year with the celebration of the Mass of the Holy Spirit! During the Mass, Archbishop Checchio invoked the Holy Spirit upon our seminary community, asking for God’s guidance, wisdom, and grace as we begin another year of formation. Please join us in praying for all of our seminarians, faculty, and staff as we embark on a new school year!

On Wednesday, we were blessed to have Archbishop Checchio at Notre Dame Seminary to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit with our seminary community.
As we begin a new year of formation, we pray for the guidance and gifts of the Holy Spirit to strengthen our seminarians as they grow in holiness and prepare to serve the Church as faithful shepherds after the Heart of Christ.
