Abe Sci Academy - Collegiate Baton Rouge - GW Carver - Livingston - Rosenwald - WL Cohen

Dear Collegiate Academies Alumni,

As you know, anytime a CA alumnus needs support with navigating college, returning to school, or advancing their career, we have been here for you. Starting this summer, this support will look a bit different, and we want to ensure you have the necessary information.

Starting July 7th, 2025, all CA alumni will now get support from CA Next Level:

Phone/text: (504) 419-1189
Email: [email protected]

Just like CA Next, CA Next Level will be there whenever you need assistance. You can call, text, or email for 1:1 sessions, and they'll be holding regular meetings for groups of alumni to learn and grow, all the while supporting each of you on your post-high school path.

You can expect texts and other outreach from CA Next Level in the coming weeks and months. Please send us an email if you have a new phone number so that we can include you!

On behalf of all of the CA Next advisors, it’s been a privilege to support alumni since the founding Sci class in 2012. We're proud of all you’ve accomplished and are cheering you on in whatever comes next.

Today, students from Livingston and Abramson visited the Poplarville campus of Pearl River Community College as part of our partnership with them to learn more about the exciting academic and extracurricular opportunities available. PRCC offers a wide range of programs, from hands-on technical courses to university transfer options, all in a supportive and dynamic campus environment. Our students had the chance to explore the campus, meet with faculty, and discover how PRCC can help them achieve their educational and career goals. We’re excited for the students to continue their journey towards making informed decisions about their futures!

The New Orleans Youth Advisory Board has piloted the Opportunity Pass where they provide free bus passes to youth in the city for a whole year. This is for young people ages 16-24.

Two GWC alums, Daena and Danae, recently went with their CA Next advisor and it took them about 15 minutes. All they had to do was fill out a quick one-page form.

The library in the East had amazing staff that not only walked them through the process but they also explained how the pass works inside the app.

We highly recommend if you are in the age range that you take advantage of this pilot program!

Did you know..... that you need to submit a form to vote if you moved Out of Parish?

If you moved more than 100 miles from the parish seat of your former residence after the voter registration books closed (30 days prior to an election), you may apply through a General Application and, once accepted by the registrar of voters, absentee vote.

Timeline: Applicants must request a ballot by 4:30 p.m. CST on the 4th day before election day

Open and fill out the form HERE:https://www.sos.la.gov/ElectionsAndVoting/PublishedDocuments/GeneralApplicationForAbsenteeByMailBallot.pdf
