The All-College Honors Program provides opportunities for selected students to gain a deep appreciation of the multiple dimensions of knowledge. Only the most outstanding students in each class are eligible for admission to the program, either before the beginning of their first-year or during the spring semester of their first year; the selection is competitive. Most incoming first-year Honors Sc

holars receive Westminster's top scholarships. The program is designed to create a community of Honors Scholars and to promote intellectual vitality and academic rigor. Honors Scholars complete an enhanced curriculum including rigorous research, thesis preparation, problem solving, and independent investigation beyond the norm. The culmination of the program is an Honors Scholar Project, in which the scholars work closely with a faculty member in their major to grapple with questions and issues in their field of interest.

Yesterday, we concluded our course by visiting the Benaki museum, which took us from prehistoric Greek culture, all the way to contemporary culture. Each student roamed around the museum at their own pace, stopping to take pictures and read about artifacts. A few of us even saw the Sunday changing of the guards march on the street following our museum visit. (Written by Jane Patterson)

On Friday, we spent a beautiful day at the Matala Beach, exploring caves, swimming, and enjoying the time in the sun (or hiding from it 😅). Then we took the bus to the port of Chania, where we enjoyed a meal together. (Written by Jane Patterson)

Yesterday, we explored the l***r colony, Spinalonga, where we learned all about the disease and it's victims, and the military history of the island. We loved seeing the clear blue water and enjoyed a nice seaside lunch at a local taverna. Then, our Titan travelers explored Heraklion in the evening. (Written by Jane Patterson)

Happy Monday! Today, our Titan Travelers woke up in Nafplio, where we got an early start, and visited the Mycenae Site and Museum, where we took a look at the Tomb of Atreus (and perhaps Agamemnon). Then, we made a pit stop at Tiryns Archeological Site, before heading back to Nafplio for a leisurely afternoon. We ended the day all together with a group dinner! (Written by Jane Patterson)

Today, our Titan Travellers hiked all the way up to the Delphi Upper Site, where we learned all about the ancient city from our guide, Karol, and saw some beautiful views from the top! The trek up to the ancient stadium was tough, but Westminster's group was up for the challenge. After this, we took a trip to Itea, and had gyros by the sea, before being chased away by the rain and wind. We will be traveling to Nafplio tomorrow! (Written by Jane Patterson)

This morning, we walked through the National Archeological Museum, learning all about Greek art from our tour guide, Effie. Then, we said goodbye to Athens (for now 😁) and traveled to the Holy Monetary of Hosios Loukas, where we saw some beautiful views, and learned more about the religious history of Greece from Dr. Martin. We saw so many beautiful mountain views today, and we are looking forward to more in Delphi tomorrow! (Written by Jane Patterson)

We had another amazing day in Athens! We started our day with a hike to the Acropolis, where we learned about native plants, ancient Greek architecture, restoration, and the stories behind all of them. After seeing the Parthenon, Dionysus' theatre, and much more, we headed back down to the city and split off for lunch. We met back up at the Acropolis Museum, where we learned more about architecture and Greek art, and saw ruins, ceramics, and ancient carvings. Then we split off again to explore the city and local culture! (Written by Jane Patterson)
