NYU’s Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies and the Hagop Kevorkian Center kindly invite you to the next lecture in our new Arabic Lecture Series.

Sara Abdelrazek Mostafa, a recent graduate from the World History Master’s Program at NYU will speak on the rich yet understudied social history of the seaside resort experience in Alexandria, Egypt.

Generation Citizen Application deadline: Wednesday, September 12th

On behalf of Generation Citizen, we are emailing you to extend information in regards to an amazing internship opportunity that will be available during the Fall Semester of 2018.

Generation Citizen is a non-profit organization that works to place college students into middle and high school classes to teach young students the importance of local politics and government, civic action (how to get involved in and actively participate in their communities), and how to make a difference in issues they find are not being tended to. Classes that have worked with Generation Citizen have made a difference in a wide array of local community issues, ranging from gun violence, r**e and sexual assault, lack of funding for schools and infrastructures, police brutality, gang violence, and more.
