Challah has always been an integral part of my Shabbat experience. I started as an infant brushing the challot with an egg wash before my mother put them in the oven. As I grew up I started braiding, and now, I produce each challah on my own. There is something about the homemade freshness of an original challah that provides a sense of warmth and Cowan's Columbia Challah is my opportunity to bring the challah that I have grown up loving and raving about for years to the New York City community.
