Powerful new technologies are transforming the information environment and shaping how states and other actors influence the public and conduct operations during wartime. To examine this important shift in warfare, the Institute of Global Politics (IGP) at Columbia SIPA will launch its new Emerging Technologies, Intelligence, and Security Initiative. The initiative will mark its debut with the release of a new comprehensive report on information operations in contemporary conflict, titled Influence Under Fire: Mapping Wartime Information Operations in the Middle East, 2023–2025.

Please join us for the launch of the new initiative, a presentation of key findings from the report, and a panel discussion with leading experts on emerging technologies and the current and future challenges of warfare.
