We are some of 100+ mental health and health workers who sent a letter to calling on him to withdraw . We cannot accept a counterproductive half-measure that won’t address the core issues behind the killings of , and too many others. This bill will continue to put Black and brown NYers with mental health challenges at risk for police violence and does nothing to address racial and economic inequity in healthcare. Contact your city council members and urge them to withdraw immediately. bit.ly/NoOn2210MH (link in bio)

Our efforts to highlight the injustice experienced by Professor Ericka Hart and the anti-Black racism that permeates the Columbia School of Social Work ( ) are gaining momentum. We invite you all to join us for a Public Hearing this Thursday, February 25th at 7:30pm EST to hear from directly impacted students, alumni, adjuncts, and movement organizers around their demands and why they are so crucial. This event is public so as to include as many voices and perspectives as possible, and to create a public dialogue instead of the closed-door meetings that the administration prefers. The event will be hosted on Zoom (CC provided). See link on flyer and email [email protected] with questions.

The Hudson County Freeholders will be voting on renewing the ICE contact at their meeting on Tuesday 11/24 at 1 pm. It's two days before Thanksgiving at a meeting that was moved to the middle of the day. Of course Hudson County is holding a vote on one of the most hotly contested issues. It's how they roll.
We don't plan on letting them get away with this. Here is what you can do- call officials and demand they vote NO to contracting with ICE. Contacts and script in images or at bit.ly/ShutDownHudson
