Center for Global Affairs Graduate Scholarship

Dear fellow CGA Alumni,

Over the past few years, we have received requests for more direct ways to give back to the Center for Global Affairs and to support its students.

Today we are delighted to announce a new crowdfunding campaign to establish the Center for Global Affairs Graduate Scholarship Fund!

The fund shall be endowed and will provide need and merit based tuition support to graduate students at the NYU School of Professional Studies' Center for Global Affairs.

Our very own Dr. Vera Jelinek, Divisional Dean and Clinical Associate Professor at CGA, has generously kicked off the campaign with a $10,000 donation on NYU One Day.

Over the last decade since its inception, the Center has grown in its offerings and its reach-now with over 1,400 alums- and has proven to be one of the most exciting and dynamic global programs on the NYU landscape, a program where the latest global trends and critical issues are examined by individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities who come together to explore how to make our world a better and more just place.

We are calling on all alumni to support the fund with a donation today by clicking below. Please join us in helping to shape the future of CGA. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

The Center for Global Affairs Alumni Board

Help NYU Rising Violets raise $100,000 for the project: Center for Global Affairs Graduate Scholarship. Your gift will make a difference!

Give back to the community --
volunteer your time at a Soup Kitchen
REGISTER NOW!
Not everyone has access to a hot meal. Help this group have one THIS SUNDAY.
Choose btw:
meal preparation - 8:30am-11:30am
meal service between - 11:30am and 3:15pm
On May 6th, the CGA Alumni Board will host a community service opportunity to support our fellow New Yorkers in need by preparing and serving hot meals at the Xavier Mission Welcome Table.
The Xavier Mission is a FOR-IMPACT organization providing basic services as well as opportunities for empowerment and self-sufficiency to New Yorkers in need. Since 1983, Xavier Mission has welcomed, served, and empowered their guests with dignity and respect. They operate six community outreach programs that provide a continuum of services, including the Welcome Table soup kitchen, which is the largest Sunday Soup Kitchen in New York City.
We are extending an invitation to volunteer and participate in this generous effort.
As volunteers, we will be assisting food prep and serving. Our individual roles will be chosen on the day of the event. There will be a lot of multi-tasking, but that will be good as you get to know both our organization and the families/community we serve at this event.
