On Wednesday August 19, 2020, we hosted a kahoot event for the incoming freshmen. It was a fun night where freshmen won prizes for answering questions ranging from snapple facts to geography.

On Sunday, February 23, 2020, we had our 36th annual banquet at Bedford on Park in Midtown Manhattan. It was a fun night as actives and elders talked with each other and enjoyed food.

Tomorrow (Wednesday, November 13), Zeta Psi will be working with the New York Blood Center to host a blood drive at 41 Cooper Square, next to the Rose Auditorium from 12 PM to 6 PM! Your donation can help save lives. You can walk in or sign up for a specific time through the link below.

New York Blood Center (NYBC) is one of the largest community-based, non-profit blood collection and distribution organizations in the United States.

Between August 14 and August 17, some of our brothers headed down to Baltimore to participate in the Zeta Psi Fraternity's 172nd Annual Convention. At the convention, they met brothers from different chapters of Zeta Psi, had meaningful discussions over various topics, and had some fun!

Congratulations to our brothers at Zeta Psi at Rutgers University for their return following the initiation of their first brothers in years! Some of our brothers had the privilege to travel to New Jersey and help out this past weekend.

On Valentine’s Day, our brothers ran a Candy-grams event. Students in all three schools of the Cooper Union wrote and sent messages with candy to friends.

Beginning in the fall semester of this year, Harvard University has placed a sanction on single-sex organizations. Before, 25% of students in Harvard University were part of sororities, fraternities, all-women, or all-men clubs. Unfortunately, due to this ban, students who are members of such organizations are now blacklisted. They can't hold leadership roles, play on athletic teams, or even receive fellowships and scholarships controlled by Harvard. In short, Harvard is threatening students the right to free association with these groups.

If this ban is not protested against, it can prompt other schools such as our own to stop giving us opportunities to those in similar clubs and social groups. The Kappa Phi chapter of the Zeta Psi fraternity strongly urges anyone to sign the petition in the link below and fight back against Harvard University, in order to support organizations like Zeta Psi. We must not allow Harvard University to set this trend!

On Tuesday, October 23, our brothers served pancakes to Cooper Union students for breakfast again to raise more money for New York Cares! If you couldn’t make it then, our brothers will be back next Tuesday (November 20) to cook more breakfast for good causes.
