Congratulations to English major Sumaya Kabir, who is one of six students CUNY-wide to receive the Belle Zeller Scholarship this year! The scholarship, named for the first president of the Professional Staff Congress at CUNY, provides free tuition and recognizes students who combine a high grade-point average with significant community service. Sumaya is taking our honors seminar this year, with Professor Miles Grier.

We are so proud of our Distinguished Professor Kimiko Hahn! Congratulations on winning the Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize from Poetry Foundation & Poetry Magazine!!!

We are so thrilled to share that our own Kimiko Hahn is this year's winner of the Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize, the lifetime achievement award from the Poetry Foundation & Poetry Magazine!

Presented annually, it is one of the most prestigious awards given to American poets and one of the nation’s largest literary prizes. Congratulations, Kimiko!!! This is well deserved!
