🎓️ Senior College Students or Recent Grads! 🎓️

Conceived by former medical student leaders, Tour for Diversity in Medicine (“T4D”) is a grassroots effort to educate, advise, and inspire future health professionals 🩺 🥼 from diverse backgrounds with terminal degrees. With its face-to-face programming, T4D provides groups of unexposed students a chance to learn from and meet with visiting physicians, dentists, pharmacists and medical students at their home institutions and without any financial burden. Having expanded significantly through virtual platforms, T4D provides initial and honest exposure to careers in the medical field and opportunities for their educational and professional advancement. Through important partnerships, T4D is offering its 4th annual scholarships to its student audiences.

City College announces the appointment of Dr. Stephen O'Brien as the new dean of the Division of Science. Now the Martin and Michele Cohen Dean of Science, O'Brien, a materials scientist, previously served as interim dean, department chair, and faculty member at both CCNY and the CUNY Graduate Center. He continues to mentor doctoral and postdoctoral researchers.

In honor of CCNY alumnus Jonas Salk (Class of 1934), who developed the first polio vaccine, CUNY awards Salk Scholarships each year to outstanding graduates pursuing studies in medicine or the biological sciences. City College graduate Ramela Xhaho (2025) is a recent recipient of this award.
