The Alumni Association currently provides $1,000 scholarships to African American students who plan to seek higher education at a college/university or other post-secondary educational institution. http://africanamericanalumniassociation.org/

It is the goal of the Arcadia High School African American Alumni Association to enrich the lives of the youth matriculating our Alma mater. “to whom much

is given…much is required.”

Over the past (3) years, our organization has given away $6,000 at a rate of (2) scholarships per year. Each year the candidates are more impressive than the year before, so it is our desire to increase the number of scholarships to (3) this year. While the Arcadia High School African American Alumni Association is not technically a non-profit organization, every dollar raised goes toward the scholarship’s and our fundraising efforts. Our primary revenue source comes via our annual basketball tournament which is held in the Arcadia High School Gymnasium. The tournament is always held on the Saturday immediately following Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately due to the lack of pre-registered teams and a lack of referees we are canceling our 1st Annual Mother's Day Basketball Tournament! 😔
We will continue with our annual Thanksgiving Weekend Tournament as planned.

Arcadia and Atlantic High Alumni:

It's time to prepare for our Sixth Annual Basketball Tournament and Scholarship Fundraiser. The tournament will take place on Saturday, November 26th at Arcadia High beginning at 9am. Over the past (5) years, our organization has given away $10,000 in scholarships based on the success of this tournament.

Please save the date and forward this post to anyone who might be interested in attending or registering a team. As always, volunteers (referees, score board, concession area) and suggestions for improvement are greatly appreciated.

He has agreed to support our efforts and will be signing autographs, pictures, etc for a fee which he will donate to our scholarship fund! :-)
