This week, NYU Government Affairs joined New York University student leaders, parents, and NYU Opportunity Programs administrators at the annual Student Aid Advocacy Day organized by the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU). Our NYU delegation traveled to Albany to meet directly with New York State legislators, passionately sharing personal stories illuminating how financial aid programs like and transform student lives.

The NYU students conveyed a clear message: student aid isn't just funding—it's a pathway to opportunity and economic advancement.

It’s great to see so many visitors in my Albany office!

I had a great discussion with students from the STEP and CSTEP programs as well as students from NYU and SUNY Fulton-Montgomery Community College yesterday. These programs truly do help students learn and grow into successful young adults. A very big thank you to everyone who visited my Albany office!
