Update on our recent MS graduate:
As an international student, having had an opportunity to be a master's student in the Biomaterials program at NYU College of Dentistry, I was exposed to an exceptional learning environment where many talented people are working towards their goals. Interacting with people of diverse educational backgrounds brings a diversity of thought allowing students to have new ideas and get useful feedback. The curriculum is structured yet flexible enough to provide me with an opportunity to explore areas that I am interested in, while working towards a degree.

Also, through guidance and reinforcement from faculty members who are experts in their fields, I was able to properly develop a good research foundation which really supports my determination to specialize in endodontics. The priceless opportunities and support I received at NYU helped me progress in this journey as I got accepted into the UCLA Endodontics Residency Program (Class of 2025).

To my research mentors, NYU faculty members as well as my classmates, you have my sincerest thanks.

Update on our graduating MS Student:

“The NYU Biomaterials MS program has been extremely helpful in broadening my knowledge and understanding of the vast world of biomaterials, a field that I had little to no prior experience. The program has provided me with a solid foundation in the fundamentals of biomaterials science and technology, and has opened my eyes to the immense practical and clinical significance of this field.”

I am thrilled to share that my experience in the NYU Biomaterials Master’s program has directly contributed to my acceptance into the prestigious UCLA Orthodontic Program () beginning in July 2023. The research experience, knowledge and skills I gained from the program were instrumental in securing my admission to the Orthodontic Program.

“I am very grateful for the education and guidance I received at NYU Biomaterials Program, especially to my research mentors Dr. John Ricci and Dr. Dindo Q. Mijares for the opportunity to perform research under their supervision and with the skills I learned will be invaluable as I continue my academic and professional journey.” ()

Update on our alumni:

After graduating from the Biomaterials MS Program (Class of 2022), I had the necessary skills to become a Research Scientist and joined the Jeong Lab at NYU College of Dentistry () where I am studying calvarial development.

The biomaterials program at NYUCD has had a tremendous impact on my path to becoming a scientist. The state-of-the-art curriculum gave me the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle research in the field of tissue engineering and biomedical sciences. The mentorship and support of all the faculty and researchers, especially that of my thesis advisor Dr. Lukasz Witek MSci, PhD (), has been priceless and has proven to affect my future career in science. I am now excited that this fall (2023) I will be starting my PhD studies in Biomedical Engineering at the City College of New York (). “After completing the MS Biomaterials Program at NYU College of Dentistry, I am confident in my abilities in becoming a successful PhD student.” ()
