Happy Launch Week!

As we welcome the newest class to NYU, we asked some Stern alums for their advice on how to make the most of business school.

Here’s what rockstar Sternie Susan Jurevics (Global President of bareMinerals and the former CEO of J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore) had to say:

“Consider the MBA an investment in yourself – your experiences and relationships are even more important than your grades. Investing in yourself also means genuinely building your network and developing core skills as diverse as executive presence, polish and resiliency.”

STERN HACK: Did you know that NYU has FREE foreign language coaching for students?

This fall, its Speaking Freely program will offer Arabic, Cantonese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish.

We're always in search of great cheap eats near NYU, so we asked one of our favorite food bloggers, Alexa of http://Eating.NYC for recommendations. She's a self-professed "professional eater" (sign me up) and was named one of the top 30 people in food by AdWeek ... so we knew we could trust her picks.
