Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, is a day of commemoration for the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust by N**i Germany and its collaborators, and for the Jewish resistance in that period.

Earlier this semester, we announced JLSA’s newest newest initiative, The Fordham Law Living Holocaust Memorial Project, in which we have collected the stories of all those whose lives were affected by the atrocities of the Holocaust and the War.  We have finished collecting materials for the project, for which we are so grateful. We are in the process of compiling them for preservation on a website and working with the school to do so. More updates to follow!

The Fordham Law School community has been overwhelmed and deeply disturbed by recent news and images of the crisis unfolding in Ukraine. At this time, millions of people need urgent assistance. Throughout the month of March, the undersigned organizations will be collecting non-perishable canned goods, essential medical supplies, hygiene products, infant items, and new clothing in Rooms LL-126, LL-130, & 4-101. There will be labeled boxes and informational flyers in these designated collection rooms.

High Priority Items: Blankets, mittens, knee pads, goggles, winter shoes, warm socks, bandages, tourniquets, diapers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, baby wipes, thermal underwear, gauze, sterile swabs, disinfectants, gloves, painkillers, and first aid kits.

Those who are not on campus will also be able to purchase and donate goods via Amazon Wishlist. More information to come soon! Supplies will be sent weekly (Fridays) to the Humanitarian Nova Poshta Warehouse in East Hanover, NJ, and will then be shipped to Ukraine and distributed to charitable organizations, volunteer fighters, and civilians based on need.

Thank you for your contributions!
