Attention Bowerman Award committee: Gabby Thomas of Harvard anchored her 4x4 in 49.44 today to track down and beat a 52.2 with a nearly 3-second lead. And that came after breaking meet records in the 100, the 200 and the long jump. Her 200 (22.76) broke the 38-year-old Franklin Field record. If she is not a Bowerman finalist, you should stop giving it out.

Oh my. In a 10-year span, from 1992 to 2001, the combination of 12.06 in the 100 and a 24.17 in the 200 would have made a women's sprinter a double winner at Heps six times (1992-94-95-98-99-2001). Today neither mark advanced to Sunday's final.
