Sciences at the Graduate Center, CUNY

The Graduate Center is the doctoral degree granting institution of the City University of New York and is one of the largest science PhD granting institutions in the country (ranked #33 nationally, based on the 2014 National Science Foundation Earned Doctorate Report). The Graduate Center houses 12 doctoral programs with over 1,000 PhD students in the Sciences, spanning the computational, natural,

laboratory-based and health sciences. Our world class science faculty and students are recipients of millions of dollars in federal funding from the National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation and regularly publish in top scientific journals. Our incoming students receive competitive five-year funding packages and eligibility for quality health insurance.
