State Pre-College Enrichment Program-SPREP The State Pre-College Enrichment Program(S-PREP) is an academic enrichment program designed for students who are interested in careers in medicine or STEM.

The State Pre-College Enrichment Program (S-PREP) is an academic enrichment program designed for students who are seriously interested in pursuing a career in medicine or related STEM professions. The long range objective of the program is to increase the number of minority in healthcare and STEM professions. The program offers enrichment courses geared towards preparing students for success in ma

th and science. The courses may include, but are not limited to the following: anatomy, biochemistry, embryology, chemistry, genetics, neuroscience, organic chemistry, physics, physiology, algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and calculus. In addition, the program offers PSAT and SAT preparation courses provided by Kaplan.

🌟🧬Curiosity Cube Recap 🔬🌟

Over 1,280 students from five public elementary schools in Washington Heights joined us at Columbia University Irving Medical Center for an exciting hands-on science fair organized by the VP&S Office of Student Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging. The event aimed to spark curiosity about science and careers in STEM.

The Curious Minds Science Zone featured interactive workshops in the Curiosity Cube 🧪, a mobile lab sponsored by “Abbott Elementary.” Students had a blast listening to heartbeats ♥️, testing reflexes 🦾, and making brain caps 🧠 with medical students and faculty.

Thank you to all the volunteers and departments that made this event a success, promoting STEM education in underrepresented communities and inspiring the next generation! 🌟💡
