Join us for a special lecture by Professor Eugenia Paulicelli on Wednesday, April 2 at 4:00 PM in the Hemmerdinger Screening Room at Hunter College. Professor Paulicelli will explore how the Italian Fascist regime used fashion to embody its ideology, reshaping the fashion and textile industries and playing a key role in Italy’s rise to global prominence in fashion.

Join us for Cinema Italiano a Hunter College! Our next film is Pani e Tulipani (2000), this Friday, 4/12, from 3:45-5:45 pm. "A housewife from Pescara is forgotten by her family at a highway rest-stop during a family vacation. Instead of waiting for them, she hitchhikes a ride home, only to impulsively detour to Venice. There, she will have a chance to reinvent herself." The showing is free, with English subtitles, and will be held in the Chanin Language Center, in room West B126.
