ted in the New York Times, the Equal Opportunity Project places Queens College among the top 1% of colleges nationwide for moving students from poverty to prosperity. Our campus boasts 80 tree-lined acres with a traditional grassy quad, surrounded by a mix of historic Spanish-style and modern buildings with state-of-the art facilities. The college offers you urban amenities—excellent cultural attractions, including readings by renowned writers, performing arts events, scholarly conferences, art exhibits, and numerous places to eat—on its peaceful grounds with a magnificent view of the Manhattan skyline. You’ll find our campus a comfortable place, with cybercafés, a fitness center, and over 100 clubs and Division II sports teams that offer you a chance to explore your interests and meet people who share them. You will have the opportunity to enhance your college experience by living in the world’s greatest city at the Summit Apartments, our beautiful and affordable residence hall. Located between our gym and library, the Summit Apartments offers fully furnished 2- and 4-bedroom apartments, study lounges on each floor, its own fitness center, music practice rooms, free Wi-Fi and digital cable TV, and more. Our Mission

Dedicated to the idea that a first-rate education should be accessible to talented people of all backgrounds and financial means, Queens College prepares students to become citizens of our global society. From graduate and undergraduate degrees, a variety of honors and pre-professional programs to research and real-work internship opportunities, you’ll find countless ways to realize your potential under the guidance of our award-winning faculty. It also contributes to the city’s talent pool as a powerful economic engine and a leader in tech education, with more undergraduate computer science majors than any New York City college. Students from across the country and around the world come to the Aaron Copland School of Music. Its renowned faculty and alumni include nationally recognized composers, conductors and performers who have received nearly 40 Grammy Awards and nominations over the past 40 years.
