University Life wrapped up Welcome Week with their first ever kayaking excursion on the Hudson River! Students made their way down to Pier 84, took in the skyline, and made new friends along the way.

Welcome Week is a two week-long series of events and activities designed to connect Columbia students across all campuses. This Fall’s events included a MoMA Scavenger Hunt, Resource Fair, Speed Friending, Grad Networking, and more!

Last week, University Life in partnership with Columbia SIPA BSU, brought together grad students from across different schools and disciplines at Columbia for Lattes and Creative Connections! Students from engineering, public health, business, journalism, and more, met for the first time and many who are first year students in their programs made new friends and connections.

This event was part of the Graduate Initiative for Inclusion and Engagement which supports graduate and professional students through programs designed to reflect a wide range of lived experiences and perspectives.
