On This Date in 2004 and 2013: The MSM Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra [2004] presents the world premiere of Ronan Guilfoyle’s Macrocosmos alongside works by Michael Abene and Manny Albam, with Justin DiCioccio conducting and saxophone soloist Dave Liebman [shown] and Dick Oatts; students enjoy a “Water Wars” event [2013] in Sakura Park, across Claremont Avenue from the School, as part of orientation activities.

Congratulations to current MSM Musical Theatre Ish*ta Bansal (BM ’27)! 👏🎶 She’s a featured cast member of a new Netflix teen drama musical “Don’t Say Good Luck” released on August 14. Adam Sandler and Jackie Sandler are among five producers of the film that stars their daughter, Sunny Sandler as Sophie; Ish*ta Bansal plays a supporting role as Chaundra, Sophie's high school theatre teacher preparing her to perform in a production of Waitress. High-profile stars appearing in the film—that has been receiving positive reviews—include Bebe Neuwirth (HonDMA ’15), until recently a MSM Board of Trustee, as well as Steve Buscemi, Melanie Lynskey, Max Greenfield, and Jon Lovitz.
