We are very excited to share that Tarang Parekh, PhD, MBBS of UD's Department of Epidemiology has created a website for substance use related research. The Substance Use, Clinical Outcomes, and Policy Evaluation (SCOPE) Lab studies how policies, medications, and health care deliveries can shape overdose and treatment. The site publishes important findings and presentations from the lab.

A recent article, published in UDaily, focuses on how cannabis use can affect health outcomes in different groups. This research highlights the often over-looked group of dual-users of medicinal and recreational cannabis.

Huge congratulations to second-year MPH in Epidemiology student for being selected as an ASPPH This is Public Health Ambassador! As one of 82 graduate students across the country, Athena will be able to share her experiences in public health to inspire prospective students. We know that she will do a great job spreading awareness for the field of public health!

Congrats to UD MPH in Epidemiology student Athena Bruess for being been selected by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health to be a This Is Public Health (TIPH) Ambassador. The Ambassador Program is a national initiative that provides graduate students the opportunity to promote public health and raise awareness of careers in the field. As a TIPH Ambassador, Athena will engage with prospective students and the public health community through outreach, educational events, and social media, highlighting the impact of public health and helping build the future workforce of public health professionals.
