University of Delaware junior Conner Nelms, a chemical and biomolecular engineering major, is exploring ways to build a better brick. Working under the advisement of Professor Norman Wagner, Nelms is creating cement alternatives with fewer environmental impacts, as part of his summer undergraduate research experience at UD.

A longtime Delaware government affairs and civic leader with more than 20 years of experience, Deadwyler will lead UD’s Government Relations team and Office of Communications and Marketing, serve as chief spokesperson and advise President Laura Carlson and senior leadership.
